China Recombinant Subunit COVID-19 Vaccine Approved by Pakistan.  Pakistan becomes the first country in the world to receive the third Chinese COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the report, the news comes from Gwadar Pro. The third Chinese vaccine (Recombinant Subunit COVID-19 Vaccine)  to enter this  country is named “ZF2001”. It was jointly developed by the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui Zhifeilongkoma Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. .

At present, the Drug Administration of Pakistan (DRAP) has approved the final phase trial of the “ZF2001” vaccine (the so-called phase III clinical trial), which paves the way for emergency use authorization in the near future.

Speaking of the vaccine, Shehnoor Azhar, spokesperson for Lahore University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Pakistan, said: “In terms of its reliability and performance against the new coronavirus variant, this vaccine seems It is very effective in triggering an immune response.” The spokesperson revealed that approximately 10,000 trial participants in Pakistan will be allowed to participate in the final phase of the vaccine trial.

In addition to this vaccine, two Chinese COVID-19 vaccines have previously been authorized for emergency use in Pakistan.

On January 18, the Pakistan Medical Products Administration issued an announcement on its website that the government of the country had approved the emergency use of China National Pharmaceutical Group’s new coronavirus vaccine.

On February 12, Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister in charge of the National Health Service of Pakistan, confirmed to Xinhua News Agency reporters that the Pakistan Drug Administration had authorized the emergency use of the COVID-19 jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Research and Kansino vaccine.

At the same time, after receiving 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine donated by China in early February, Pakistan has officially started vaccination work on February 2. Prime Minister Imran Khan delivered a speech at the launching ceremony and expressed his gratitude to China.
