4 common abnormalities if the intestine is becoming cancerous

No matter which organ is cancerous or how malignant the cancer is, the earlier it is detected, the more it means that the patient is still alive.

“Colorectal cancer” is the most common malignant tumor of the digestive tract in many countries. The five-year survival rate of early-stage patients can reach more than 70% after treatment, and the five-year survival rate of patients with advanced colorectal cancer is even less than 10%!

Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to detect cancer in the body early. Not to mention that there is no typical symptoms in the early stage of cancer;

Even if patients with colorectal cancer gradually develop symptoms, because their manifestations are mostly related to stool, they are easy to ignore them, or even mistake them for ordinary hemorrhoids and perianal diseases, and miss the best time for diagnosis and treatment!

As everyone knows, when the following abnormal stools find themselves, it is likely that the intestines have become cancerous:

1. Change in stool habit:

The so-called stool habit refers to the number and time period of a person’s daily bowel movements. Under normal circumstances, most adults will develop their own bowel habits, and will not change easily.

And if, without any cause, a sudden morning false diarrhea, a gradual increase in the number of stools, unclean stools and other abnormalities, no matter how the diet or medication is adjusted, the symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks. It may be a manifestation of the arrival of bowel cancer.

Because after the formation of intestinal cancer, it will cause irritation to the intestinal mucosa, cause intestinal flora disorder, dysfunction, and increase the frequency of defecation

2. Unexplainable bowel movement:

It was obviously increased stool frequency and recurrent diarrhea, but recently, symptoms such as constipation, difficulty defecation, etc. suddenly appeared, or diarrhea and constipation appeared alternately, which may also be related to cancer.

Because the cancer continues to develop, it will narrow the intestinal cavity and reduce the space for storing feces. At the same time, the process of feces passing becomes quite difficult, so the patient has abnormal manifestations such as difficulty in defecation, constipation, and tenesmus;

3. Changes in stool shape:

In the case of normal diet, the recent defecation process is very unsatisfactory, and the shape of stool has also changed;

From a thick cylinder to a small strip of stool as thick as a pencil, or a small flat strip of stool that seems to have been squeezed out, this is one of the typical manifestations of bowel cancer.

Because the cancer squeezed the stool, the cancer cells formed a perimeter infiltration of the intestinal wall, and the shape of the stool changed accordingly;

4. Hematochezia:

Hematochezia is the most common and typical symptom of rectal cancer, but it is often ignored or mistaken for hemorrhoids by patients.

Because there is blood in the stool in the early stage of colon cancer, it is often difficult to observe with the naked eye due to the low amount of bleeding. Moreover, there are blood in the stool in the early stage of rectal cancer, often with blood traces on the side of the stool, which is very similar to the bloody stool induced by hemorrhoids.

However, as the patient’s condition continues to progress, the blood in the stool will change. The patient can discharge mucus or pus and blood mixed with dark red blood. In severe cases, the stool may also be mixed with cancer, tumor, necrotic tissue, and blood clots. And exudes a very unpleasant stench.

The above four stool abnormalities are common symptoms in the development stage of bowel cancer. It is not difficult to see from these symptoms that intestinal cancer is indeed easily confused with other common intestinal diseases and perianal diseases.

Therefore, for high-risk groups of colorectal cancer who are over 45 years old and have a family history of colorectal cancer and a history of bowel disease, it is necessary to increase their vigilance against colorectal cancer. Once they have similar symptoms, it is necessary to seek medical screening.
