A 76-year-old man in South Korea died after receiving Pfizer vaccine. According to a report by KBS World on April 2, a 76-year-old South Korean man died after being vaccinated with Pfizer. This is the first death in a population of 75 years and older since South Korea vaccinated the population on April 1.

According to the quarantine department and the local government, the man lived in Seoul and died at home at around 5 am on Friday (April 2). Prior to this, he had received the first dose of Pfizer vaccine at around 3 pm on the 1st.
According to reports, the man had suffered from renal failure for 6 years, and relevant authorities in South Korea are currently investigating whether the cause of death of the deceased was related to Pfizer vaccination.
It is reported that since the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination in South Korea in late February, a total of 31 deaths after vaccination have been reported, but there is no evidence that the death is related to Pfizer vaccination.
South Korea began to vaccinate 3.5 million people born on or before December 31, 1946 in 46 vaccination centers across the country from April 1st, mostly using vaccines produced by Pfizer.
