Moderna COVID-19 vaccine 96% effective for 12-17 years old teens. Moderna said on May 06 2021 that preliminary data showed that the company’s COVID-19 vaccine is 96% effective for 12 to 17-year-olds, and there are no serious safety issues.

According to the report, 3235 teenagers aged 12 to 17 participated in Moderna’s Phase II clinical trial. These teenagers received at least one dose of the vaccine and had not previously been infected with the new coronavirus.

The company also announced on Wednesday that early data from an ongoing clinical trial showed that the “booster shot” of the new coronavirus vaccine it is developing has a good immune response to the first variant virus in South Africa and Brazil.
