The FDA approval is based on data from two key phase 3 clinical studies, GEMINI 1 and GEMINI 2, which evaluated the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of VUITY in the treatment of presbyopia.

In the two studies, a total of 750 presbyopia participants aged 40 to 55 were randomly assigned to VUITY or placebo at a 1:1 ratio.

Participants were asked to instill one drop of VUITY or placebo in each eye every day.
