Laryngeal cancer: 4 signals incorrectly treated as pharyngitis.  The first signal from laryngeal cancer, many people treat it as pharyngitis! 4 signals, don’t be careless.

Laryngeal cancer is not a common type of cancer, and its incidence is only 5.7% to 7.6% of systemic malignancies. Moreover, the early survival rate of laryngeal cancer can reach 80%.

Early detection, timely treatment, the possibility of cure is very high.

However, due to lack of knowledge of laryngocarcinoma, many people tend to treat symptoms such as coughing, hoarseness, and difficulty breathing as common diseases, thereby delaying the condition.

Now let’s introduce the early signs of laryngeal cancer. I hope everyone can pay attention to it.

1. Hoarse voice

The most obvious symptom of glottic laryngeal cancer is hoarseness, which is characterized by persistent and worsening symptoms. Hoarseness caused by common inflammation lasts for a short period of time and recurs.

The hoarseness caused by laryngeal cancer is usually longer and will get worse. If you experience hoarseness for more than two weeks, you must go to the hospital for an examination as soon as possible.

2. Cough, bloody sputum

In the early stage of glottic cancer, although the patient does not have the symptoms of hoarseness, the patient will obviously feel pain and foreign body sensation in the throat.

When the disease progresses to a certain level, it will irritate the throat. As a result, the patient has a cough, and a severe cough can cause the laryngeal cancer to rupture. At this time, the sputum coughed up by the patient will be bloodshot. At this time, most of the laryngeal cancer has developed to the middle stage.

3. Difficulty swallowing and breathing

After laryngocarcinoma enlarges, it will occupy the entire pharynx, causing patients to have symptoms of swallowing and breathing difficulties.

Usually when there are such symptoms, most of the laryngeal cancer has advanced to the advanced stage.

4. Neck mass

If the laryngeal cancer metastasizes, there will be masses on the neck, most of which occur below the mandibular angle.

The masses that appear at the beginning are soft and can be pushed; when the masses develop to the later stage, the masses cannot move and the texture will become harder.

Five major factors that cause laryngeal cancer.

1. Smoking

According to relevant studies, most patients with laryngeal cancer have long-term heavy smoking, and the daily smoking frequency is directly proportional to the probability of laryngeal cancer.

Tobacco will produce a large amount of cigarette tar during the burning process, and the benzopyrene contained in it has carcinogens. Such substances can cause congestion, edema, and epithelial hyperplasia of the human mucosa, leading to cancer.

2. Drinking

According to surveys, people who drink for a long time are 1.5 to 4.4 times more likely to develop throat cancer than non-drinkers. Especially supraglottic cancer is closely related to drinking.

3. Kitchen fume

The cooking oil will oxidize at 60°C, and decompose at 130°C to produce carcinogenic ingredients. If the temperature continues to rise, it will irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, and throat, causing chronic keratitis, tracheitis, rhinitis, and laryngitis.

4. Vocal cord damage

Excessive vocalization, frequent throat clearing, long-term consumption of spicy and high-temperature foods, etc., can easily damage the vocal cords and cause throat cancer.

Especially sales staff, teachers, singers, etc. should pay special attention to drinking more water and keep their throat moist at all times
