According to Turkish Daily News, the first batch of 3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine received by Turkey will be shipped from Beijing to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines on the 30th local time.

The batch of COVID-19 vaccines will first arrive at Istanbul Airport and then be shipped to Ankara. According to reports, Turkey has signed an agreement earlier to purchase a total of 50 million doses of China’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The two heads of state have exchanged views on this on many occasions, emphasizing mutual understanding and mutual support on issues involving core interests and major concerns. China and Turkey share common concerns in combating terrorism and maintaining national security and stability.  The two sides should oppose the politicization and instrumentalization of anti-terrorism issues and the use of “double standards” on anti-terrorism issues. The “Eastern Iraqi Movement” is an international terrorist organization recognized by the UN Security Council, and it is the international obligation of all countries to combat the “Eastern Iraqi Movement”. China is willing to carry out more in-depth anti-terrorism cooperation with Turkey.
