Xinhua News Agency, Santiago, April 16 (Reporter Yin Nan Zhang Xiaoran) The Chilean Ministry of Health announced on the 16th the results of a real-world study on the protective effects of China’s Kexing COVID-19 vaccine in the country. Studies have shown that the vaccine is 67% effective in preventing symptomatic infections 14 days after the second dose.

Real-world research refers to obtaining evidence of the use value and potential benefits or risks of medical products by collecting patient-related data in the real-world environment.

The consultant of the Chilean Ministry of Health who led the study said that the study showed that the effective rate of Kexing Vaccine for preventing hospitalization 14 days after the second dose was 85%, and the effective rate for preventing entry into the intensive care unit was 89%. The effective rate of preventing death caused by infection is 80%.
